The problems are a bit blown out of proportion but the overdue updates is a legit issue with GOG, particularly with early access or newer titles. I feel it's a shared issue too - there's definitely some inefficiencies in GOG's vetting process but I swear some devs are effectively ignoring their GOG version of the game. And not even small teams. Games like robocop sometimes lag behind their steam counterparts. Either way, a nice list to have.
Never really followed him or other youtubers, but after the reddit api thing I tuned in to their "wan show" for a couple of shows because it seemed like they were discussing interesting topics/news. Until I realized that he spent an absolutely enormous amount of time either talking about running linus media group, merchandising, or just running ads. I swear half the 3h run time of those shows is talking and screeching about the business or just ads in one form or another. "So luke, what's the next news?" "synology drm'd their nas-es" "oh man, that's a bummer. We don't ever drm our merch, not even the screwdrivers. How would we even sell them?????" etc
Weren't they almost 5x just a few weeks ago? I remember checking whether to stick to ddr4 or upgrade and 32gb of ddr5 5600 was 500€. Seems about the same now. Hardly an explosion ( at least relative to rampocalypse prices )
Not sure about VLCs responses, but the original post and several other comments ( including the article ) read like ragebait. I'm tired of ragebait, man.
Yea l, figured the same. It's just name, year, status, platform and kit type/size for now. Not like I can recall when I finished Kohan or whatever obscure 20th century game anyway.
Ooh, a fellow listmaker. I've started compiling a "past three decade" list as well, mostly for keeping a game kit inventory, but your tracking is way more dilligent. I've starte only last year and have been going from memory and old kits and you can imagine how that's going. Tried a few online tools but none are actually satisfactory for stat purposes, so it's still in spreadsheet form.
Anyway thank you for the great read, it's fun to compare and contrast with someone else's opinions on a couple hundred games.
Edit: Seeing as you liked Frostpunk dare I recommend Ixion? Different vibe but same type of tight decision making and great story.
Halo 4. Never was big on Halo and hadn't really played past Halo 1 until recently getting the MCC, and then I binged on all of them. The main series story was ok, despite feeling slightly more incoherent with each game. Even the spin-offs were ok games. Pushed through and finished Halo 3 and thought it was a fairly satisfying ending to the plot, only to find that they're reviving the chief. Again. With Cortana. Again. And guess what, she's going rogue. Again. I just couldn't do it, stopped then and there.
I wouldn't get my hopes up too much with motorola. They only mentioned the graphene collab like once in passing, and with how they're managed these days they probably don't even remember it.
Listened to Schreier's podcast and indeed, they explicitly avoided giving sales numbers, which to me is a bit strange. However in their earnings call they reported smth like 1 billion in revenue, and, while I wasn't clear on whether it's everything or just GTA6, that would still mean people placed anywhere between 5-14 million preorders. I mean to me it's staggering that so many would preorder a game without seeing a single non-cgi frame, no preorder bonus and no physical release, but to each their own.
Yea this looks misleading as fuck. Weight graph starts at 3000lbs too. Also no mention of the cars polluting the nearby environment a lot less despite getting heavier. And why measure acceleration instead of measuring brake distance, or pedestrian survivability, or crashes per million miles etc.
Clueless or not, zelnick is in the position to attempt to make this happen. Sony seems to be on board with them, and I bet microsoft is salivating at the thought as well.
It's the year of our lord 2026 and premium tablets are still catching up to the ppi of a 13 year old 300€ google nexus. Sometimes I wonder if tech peaked in 2013-2014
This whole "gamer outrage" has to be manufactured for clicks right? Surely there's not that many people that would get outraged that they will see a goddamn TRAILER 6 hours after other people. I mean fuck Rockstar for pulling this shit, but this whole thing reeks of ragebait.

Predictable really. No way this was gonna run smooth on the switch2, and they sure as hell couldn't be bothered to optimize it.
Damn - got mine on loaded as they sometimes have them a bit cheaper than steam and in my local currency. Now I feel bad.
Though part of me wonders if this scandal is just because they got a little greedy and it backfired.
We should judge him by what he does not what he says, but I get it. He speaks to us so we ignore potential issues.
Isn't this the guy who zapped his dog? Why the fuck are people still giving him attention?

Try an Android e-ink device. I've been using a boox note and it's pretty great.
Edit: You might want to get et the "e-ink bro" browser on the device too, it's more optimized for e-ink devices

Edit edit: You have a typo on AoE 2/3

Oh and Far Cry 6. That one can fuck right off.
"Today I make history! Me! Maneo Jung Esp-"
Seriously tho, this looks neat

Commandos 2/3 are exquisite for shooting nazis if you don't mind the lack of first person perspective
