Motorola has launched the Moto Pad 70 in India with a 12.1-inch 2.5K display, MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor and 5G connectivity. The tablet also features 8 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, a 10,200 mAh battery and a bundled Moto Pen.

It's the year of our lord 2026 and premium tablets are still catching up to the ppi of a 13 year old 300€ google nexus. Sometimes I wonder if tech peaked in 2013-2014

What's odd is every time I go to the hospital now, checkin uses an HP tablet that's easily 14", running Windows.

It's just a laptop without a keyboard.

And here we have Moto acting like they're making something new.

QHD is a common resolution on 27" monitors, why wouldn't it be good enough for a tablet?
Being only 12" it's better ppi than a 32" 4K monitor!!

It's an universally known term to refer to an 2560 by 1600 pixels screen

QHD is 2560x1440 also called 1440p.
This being a tablet however may not follow the basic standard completely, just like many phones don't. Which is probably why they don't use the standard names for it.
I have no idea why you would consider that suspicious?
