About 93% of that price seems to be just the RAM. Insane.

Absolutely absurd.

Original MSRP was $120, by the way.

Hey they finally put a power button on it, that's cool.
Still, $130 for the 4GB model is double the price I paid for the Pi 4 with 4GB. Good thing I don't need another one yet

Second hand SFFs ftw... Shame about wattage for 24/7 uptime

Bought two Pi 5 8GB RAM on the announcement day (September 28 2023), paid $112 Canadian each. Missed the entire 4 series due to shortages, covid and such so it was time to upgrade my aging (but still functional) 3s. $350 US is an absolute insanity.

When do we get a board with a SODIMM memory slot instead of soldered RAM?

I assume they are not selling any if then?
