Yep, but usually the middle and low classes are the ones which receives the more negative impact. There can be others way to get funds, like having oil stations owned by the state, and using their profit as taxes.
Only if that's how the system is set up. Tax everything sold by a certain percent. Tax businesses on their stock value. Tax income and net wealth over a certain amount. There are ways to enable taxes that protect the poor. But, to be fair, I am heavily in favor of a strong social security net. I want the weak, poor and unhealthy to know where they will be sleeping tonight and eating tomorrow.
I agree in principle, but sales taxes are a bad idea, because they are regressive. That means, because poor people spend a larger proportion if their income, their income is taxed (through sales taxes) at a higher rate than the income of more wealthy people.
What would actually be a better idea is to have a higher income tax for the higher tax brackets, but also tax wealth and inheritance much more, that would be things like stocks, real estate etc, which the wealthy use to borrow against to avoid taxes (because they don't pay taxes on the borrowed money).
Basically just close up the loopholes and get rid of tax havens. Make it so that the rich can't remove their money from the economy. I think businesses should also pay more in tax as opposed to individuals.
Printing more money: this is just a flat tax because of inflation.
Government owning resources: finite. The cost of those resources increases to support citizen needs. And the cost of that is borne by the consumer, I.e. the citizens. This is most likely a regressive tax.
In the end, it's all a tax. And if you don't specifically target it, it's a tax that hurts the poor.
Not sure what does it mean, but my guess is you're still behaving like you were some kind of judge, police officer or authority demanding explanations. My prescription for you is: get a life, find a boyfriend. A decent life will allow you to get rid of your hate.
Taxation refers to charges paid by an organization or individual which are mandated by a government organization.
Regardless of socialist or capitalist structure, some form of taxation will exist if the government is at all involved in regulating/redistributing capital. If youâre capitalist you want subsidies, so taxation. If youâre liberal you want the illusion of welfare, so taxes. If youâre a socialist you want basic needs to be socialized, so taxes. Etc.
I'm anarchist. I think freedom can solve many problems in the world, but I don't like capitalism, because it's about competition. My ideal world would be a cooperative anarchism.
Even in an anarchist society, the movement of goods/services to those in need would arguably be taxes.
For example, say you are in a fully anarchist community. If your community needs help collecting/producing some resource and you refuse to help, you wonât be a member of the community for long. The community (the government organization in this case) mandates that its members cooperate with the community. The charge may not be monetary, but human labor is still capital, capital that you are expected to pay towards the community.
The implementation of taxes is frequently corrupt/questionable, but the idea itself is not
Well, yes, community would be like a family where everybody has to help to maintain it. But unlike our current system, the individual would participate in the decisions, instead of voting the guy who takes the decision on his behalf (and very often against his own interest and will).
I thought it was just blatant satire or something, implying that it's crazy that we don't tax the rich. Then I read the comments. It was not satire and OP is a cunt to boot. Wow.
haha, it seems you haven't read the conversations fully: I only argue with haters, not with "dislikers". I never start an argument. Show me only one conversation in which I had started one.
At first I thought the artist was ignorant, or perhaps making fun of that position by presenting it in a particularly unflattering way. But no, you're just an asshole.
The only way taxes become unecessary is if money, and a profit based society, stops existing.
If not, well...
The guys fixing the roads need to be paid a fair wage to afford rent, food, and amenities.
The nurses at the hospital need to be paid a fair wage to afford rent, food, and amenities.
The librarians need to be paid a fair wage to afford rent, food, and amenities.
The postal workers all need to be paid a fair wage to afford rent, food, and amenities.
The office workers slaving away at a desk to manage all the government's resources and finances need to be paid a fair wage to afford rent, food, and amenities.
That's the point, instead of money society should use a community bartering system in an anarchist context. Not a direct 1 to 1 person barter, because that would complicate things, but a community to community one
I don't want Anarchism. It can work as a transitional period till we develop a new system, but I want a centralised system with strong civilian oversight.
Never thought Liberals had major schizophrenia.
I honestly just thought they were greedy duplicitous people who never hesitated to oppress others if it meant having a better lifestyle than the victims.
In psychology, we just call it dissonance.
Exactly. Not sure if all the liberals, but the woke division of them are the worst haters ever, in a endless war against common sense and coherence. They behave like police officers demanding explanations and rectification all the time

I mean, taxes help pay for roads. I want there to be taxes. We just need the rich to pay their fair share.

What if the profit doesn't cover the cost of building and maintaining the roads?
