Studies show that e-bike crashes are on the rise and unfortunately they’re more like motorcycle crashes.

Saving a click: broken legs, caused by relatively heavy e-bikes.

Disturbing.

Makes sense. Light bicycle won't break your puny bones despite your insufficient calcium intake, but heavy battery will.
You want to drive one of these, up your calcium game. Drink your milk. Eat at least a kilogram of cheese every day.

Many foods are fortified with calcium, like soy milk. You can reach the recommended daily intake quite easily. Just be sure to have adequate Vitamin D levels and Vitamin K to make sure the calcium actually goes to the bones instead of the arteries.

Calcium intake should be regulated though to not increase kidney stone risk. Also the bones of obese or muscular people are under heavier loads and so are stronger by default. It's the frail folks who are at greatest risks.

Not a new injury, not particularly disturbing and to top it off
My 90’s steel frame competition cross country bike weighed close to 30kg.
All they’re seeing are the consequences of people who can’t ride but suddenly have the ability to go ‘fast’ around traffic.
…….
Oh so exactly as I expected.
