Why is it that everytime I see news from Canada it looks like we are following US’ direction.

Is it carney? I was no fan of Trudeau but he distinctly did the opposite of the the orange guy

It would be cool if all out politicians weren't picked from a pool of rich old men who are involved in industries that have an interest in dictating Canadian politics.

Canada received a “D” on the World Animal Protection Index for allowing practices [...] that are banned in some comparable jurisdictions, including some U.S. states.

Although polls show Canadians strongly support protections for farmed animals, the issue attracts almost no mainstream media attention.

Industry executives and their allies in the Ford government want to make sure there’s no such disturbing videos disseminated in the future, so they’re clamping down hard — not on potential abusers but on those brave enough to try to capture the abuse on film.

Works fine for me; either the plea appears randomly or pihole stopped it.

Anyway, they have a full-text RSS feed to skip it altogether.

Looks like reader mode is what triggers it; they load the actual content using JavaScript, along with a bunch of tracker and ad code.
