We have a left-wing version of this in my country. The police chief is a proven pedophile, but my grandpa just says "Idk, there's propaganda all the time, they are probably lying".
He literally just says propaganda/AI to whatever makes dear leader look bad. They are just so brain dead.
Oh, and just because he acts generally left: (Pro-gay rights, so on), does not mean he actually is...he talks about how
6 work days are too few, how reducing work hours is nonsense "how can you have more productivity with less hours?".
He keeps doing shady shit, like co-operating with Israel on drone production, whoring out to all sides (used to somehow have USA's, Russia's, AND China's favor at the same time).
Make America healthy again - remove minorities you (or capitalists) don't like
Start no wars against people - but they aren't people so it's fine, also inflation (capitalists all changing pricing and not admitting it's their fault)
People above corporations - well corporations are apparently people
American capitalists above foreign ones - not the workers who are worse off
Release the files - fuck over Democrats (who are also for capitalism but still want to regulate it somewhat) EDIT: forgot to say: but not themselves who also did the same things democrats did. Rules don't apply to capitalists.
Not to spy on citizens - well, it's the USA (also capitalism)
Eliminate fraud - it isn't fraud if it's legal.

What's up with that "put America above foreign countries" point? When has that not been true? Every president since before the country was founded happily bombed children to make oil $0.02 cheaper.
Or does it mean to make it 'better' than foreign countries in various metrics? I guess then it makes more sense, but still would apply to pretty much all prior governments.
Mainly they know st want to stop any of us pointing that out. They don't want to feel guilt, or do anything to correct past actions. It's why they also hate critical race theory and feminism. They want to selfishly be told they are the best and everything they do and want is their god given right.
