Sometimes my ego gets in the way and it's hard to deal with criticism when i think I'm right, but I try to make the changes that are necessary even if it doesn't feel right for myself. If it becomes too much, then the decision to make that change is the correct decision.
I like your style and the tone of your humour. I feel like it does its own thing and it has its particular brand of funny. All this to say that I look forward to following your work until I'm able to finally get your book.
