In all seriousness, NZ is extremely car centric and that's sad because it would be prime territory for some focused passenger rail lines especially on North Island.

Well, if those lives can only be saved by encroaching on the sacred freedom of vroom vroom, perhaps those people don’t get to live, and their inevitable deaths are a regrettable necessity, and/or part of the great circle of life
