Kubota Gardens, no?

ProfessorScience@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 65d (3 replies)

No, this is the one by the Washington Park Arboretum. I didn't get a chance to visit Kubota.

Oh, nice. I love their greenhouse. I rode my motorcycle by the Arboretum today down to Seward and back to Dexter. Had lunch on Lake Wa.

Thanks! I've had it under a month. It's such a blast to rip around town with. 20,000 original miles from 1975.

This looks like an episode of TNG. The planet's prime minister must be near.

Hello neighbor!

ProfessorScience@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 65d

Hello from Wisconsin! I was in town a couple weeks ago for a vacation. Very lovely!

For (more) folks who have visited both, I'm curious how this compares with Portland's Japanese garden.

mbp@slrpnk.net · 1 pts · 64d

Portland's is pretty fuckin dope.

velma@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 65d

Such a lovely spot right in the middle of the city! We’ve had perfect weather to visit lately, too. Thanks for sharing :)

Nice shot!

I think the one in Portland is better.

Tujio@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 65d (4 replies)

You'd have to spend the whole day drinking craft brews and mainlining reefer to think that.

Oh. Wait. Portland.

MrQuallzin@pie.eyeofthestorm.place · 2 pts · 65d (3 replies)

Or people can like different things...? They didn't say anything bad about the picture or even the Seattle garden in general. I read their comment as a compliment. There's no reason to shit on them.

Tujio@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 65d (2 replies)

Ha. You're reading more malice than exists there. Portland is famous for having excellent craft beer and plentiful weed. That's the joke.

MrQuallzin@pie.eyeofthestorm.place · 3 pts · 65d

Ah, thanks for the explanation. I can be a bit dense sometimes. I'm just north in the Vancouver area so am quite familiar with their goods 😎

Crackhappy@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 65d

And I can't use either of them. Waaahhhhh
