That’s unfair to tankies. Lemmy has 2 full time developers.

i mean PR is a full time job too. i don't know how much they do (i try to stay out of that mess) but like, it is a necessary job.

PR as in public relations? For Lemmy?
HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 52d
yeah, all their fucking around posting on here is technically PR.
Damage@feddit.it · 2 pts · 52d
Hmmm if you want to call it that... It's not like it's necessary for Lemmy's good.

Is this about that new hashtag instance Prodromou launcher?
Looking at it, it's weird that it doesn't respect
indexableflag on profiles, instead saying you need to add a hashtag to your bio to opt out?SorteKanin@feddit.dk · 4 pts · 54d
The what?
flamingos@feddit.uk · 4 pts · 54d
Evan Prodromou recently launched tags.pub, which is a service that creates a bunch of accounts that boost hashtags. People on the masto side didn't like that it was opt out, and getting their notifications spammed.

It was mostly people in the This Is My Hugbox And You Will Facilitate That For Me section of The Mastodon Network™ that were pissed about it.

Mutual trust between threadiverse instances is a bit tenuous these days ...

We have ~500 instances, most of them are fine.

Just as soon as I break out of this job, I will try my own version of Solarpunk.
