There is AFAIK not a single experimental fusion reactor that comes even close to producing surplus energy (when calculation with the actual energy input), so why would some dodgy startup suddenly find a breakthrough? Smells like an investor scam tbh.

To be fair I think fusion research is a great destination to siphon AI investment money to. I’m sure when Next Big Thing^TM^ comes along then they will dress fusion research in a Next Big Thing hat for further funding too
