I was offered an agreement that, for me personally, raised difficult long-term questions about rights, future technological use of identity and voice, the ability to speak freely, and compensation. Ultimately, it just wasn’t something I felt comfortable signing. I genuinely wish everyone involved well. But preserving my autonomy mattered more to me.

Fair enough.

In other words, they wanted the rights to be able to copy her through AI without further permission, making her redundant for future projects.

I don’t know if this movie holds up, but back in the day I loved it.

Might’ve'd something to do with the fact that I’ve seen it as a wee boy alone in the hospital with a broken foot and no prior knowledge about it.

You were very lucky to have experienced it that way. I thought it was great as well.

I recently re-watched it in the movie theater at a local theater that plays old films on Fridays.

It didn't really hold up, but it was fun for nostalgia's sake.
