Been done in 1963, USA still won't care about Buddhists today.

Was also done by Aaron Bushnell in 2024 -An active service member who wasn't buddhist and the U.S. still didn't care.

why do you want buddhists in power in tibet?
Alcoholicorn@mander.xyz · 2 pts · 45d
Theres a huge difference between Tibeten Buddhists being in power in Tibet, which is kinda a prerequisite for Tibet to be the autonomous region they are, and a return to a Tibeten Buddhist theocracy.
Tolc@lemmy.world · -4 pts · 45d
literally no difference, also explain why tibet should be autonomous region?

Same reason Ukraine should be, they were invaded by a neighbour.

Ukraine is invaded by a liberal capitalist nation for expansion of russia's territory.
by that logic every nation to exist should be dissolved as most of them invaded some part
also invasion to abolish slavery, abolish theocracy and giving land back to peasants is good

They literally are an autonomous region, are you saying the CPC should stop requiring a portion of administrations be Tibeten and remove the greater degree of local goverance?

This shit never accomplishes anything. Why do people still do this

Should have done it in front of the Chinese embassy. -The outcome wouldn't have changed but i'm not sure what they expected doing this at the U.N. headquarters. The U.S. is no longer the world police and when we thought we were, we weren't very good at it.
