I had a thought, this is done to reduce opposition to age verification. Most people who really care about privacy will use Linux and open source. So now a lot of those will not care about the age verification being thrust on Microsoft/Apple users because it doesn't affect them.
We used to have a cat called Max. He was all white. One of the neighbours had a white cat that would wander past our house sometimes, we ended up naming him "Notmax", b cause we would see him and say "is that Max? - no it's not max"
If you've got a desktop, and using sata drives, you could use a SATA Power switch panel. Basically on off switches for drives so you can turn off the Linux drive when booting windows.

Just edit PAM to run a script on fail if the attempt was hunter2. The script takes a photo with the webcam. I'm sure there's cli webcam utilities.
