The original statement as to not being able to replace them was silly, given federation tech. Really they should have at some point just had some throwaway line about having converted some facility to photorp production.
Even if certain components couldn't be replicated, they'd likely be able to mine/trade for them along the way. Simple as. Wrote themselves into a needless corner.
Thats a fair point. I just got tired of the torpedo joke when someone put it on YouTube with a smash cut of every torpedo fired, playing over bach or something.
Big agree. After season 4 they get access to all sorts of Borg ingenuity. There may but have been a line about Seven unlocking more torpedoes but they had lines about making literally everything else lol

Thats a really good shot of the captain's yatch actually.
I dont remember if its actually called that, but that ship-shaped outline? Yeah thats a small ship.
The delta flyer took its place on the show but its still in the plans.
Much like the intrepid's second warp core it was ultimately forgotten.
Voyager is neat.

But does it have a Rubber Ducky Room?
(not mine)

Wait, what's with the rat room, too?
I could believe the duck is just equipment that kind of looks like a duck, but that is a damn mouse

That's the vole containment unit.

Nice, just saw this lower decks episode yesterday. Also, is that a DC-3 right of the rubber duck?

It's very flat. Did Voyager land on it a little too hard?
StarryPhoenix97@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 42d
It's in-set in the hull. When it's deployed it leaves a space in that outline for it to re-dock
Edit. Found it. Its the aeroshuttle

How many photon torpedoes did Voyager start out with?

This argument always annoys me.
Of course they couldn't replace them IN THAT MOMENT, but they clearly made upgrades and changes to the ship as they traveled.
If they built an astormetrics lab, hydroponics bay, and a borg-enhanced runabout, then they could figure out how to build torpedoes.
We also see them at least once bartering for weapons and experimenting with new forms of warp travel and energy collection.
I'm sick of the torpedoes thing. We're grown-ups. We dont need a throw away line for every little thing that changes between day 1 and day 2k+

Semantics are the driving force for much of this community. It can be grating and I'm certainly not immune to it.

That and I was cranky

I don't really care, but a few lines or episode about setting up manufacturing for proton torpedoes would have fixed that.

We do not discuss this with outsiders.

32, but they likely can replicate more. they also had tri-cobalt devices, and other explosives.

The Janeway portrayed in "Living Witness" isn't as far off from the truth, it seems.
