Skip intro is done wrong all the time. Sometimes the button disappears too soon, or it doesn’t reappear with the controls, or it leaves like a full 20 seconds of intro so you can spend an agonising amount of time whilst alert and ready for the exciting conclusion to the cliff hanger slowly dying whilst being forced to listen to the epic music trail off, dutifully marvelling at the wonderful name of the most important showrunner, which is, by now, burnt into your retinas and neurons forever…
By contrast, sometimes the bread goes in a bit funny and comes out a bit slice happy
I think the saying should be "the greatest thing since splinter-free toilet paper." It came just 2 years before sliced bread and is arguably the better invention.

When buttered, it's the additional surface area. When plain, it's the improved bread:air ratio. This data comes from years of making shit up.
