Imagine if we had an actual reflecting pool in Washington, D.C. It would be like the mirror gate from The Neverending Story. Peer into its waters and it reveals your true character. Hell, we could force all our politicians to look into it prior to being elected, and watch them be tormented by their true souls revealed. Or, if the reflection is visible to outside observers, we could use it to test the character of candidates for office.
