::: spoiler Alt text I recently rewatched the 80s Superman movies, and it's really unclear to me why they will not Kneel Before Zod. :::

Presumably if you're shaped like a human rather than a bee and you're not going for aerodynamics then you'd fly with a standing posture. Some characters (Magneto, for example) do.

Every time Superman goes evil that's how he flies. It's evil flying.

I gotta say, it looks cool.

Yeah! Face first sounds extremely dangerous now that you mention it.

I'd fly feet first. If I hit something, I can bend my knees to absorb some impact, or kick off of it for a quick 180. Hell, with a little practice, you could look like you were about to flying kick someone 100% of the time. That's pretty badass.

Yeah, but Superman is more aerodynamic outstretched.

He could definitely catch him if he chose a more aerodynamic posture.

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 41d

He wouldn't have to catch him if he'd just Kneel Before Zod

Ohh, you guys have eyesight eyesight. Noticing the tension in a bee’s limbs during flight is wild

Cursed

The stereotypical Superman flying pose is like diving into a pool, which is optimized for hydro/aerodynamics, and probably is the pose Superman would go for when he wants to go fast.
