Ruining tires for 20 dollars? He should reconsider his pricing.

He’s not in it for the money, just the love of the game

One small burnout does not ruin the tires.

diabetic_porcupine@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 51d (4 replies)

So what would you say is the profit margin at $20 a burnout? A fresh set of tires can cost an arm and a leg depending on the diameter

Mac@mander.xyz · 8 pts · 51d

Oh, there is none. You're absolutely operating at a huge loss. lol

Get cheap worn out tires for free.

Do burnouts for $20 a pop.

Profit.

20 bucks is only labour. You see, that’s where the amortization surcharge comes in, which is 12 bucks/tire and 10 for drivetrain and breakpad usage. There is also a transporation fee of 2 dollars a mile. Oh, and don’t forget the high fuel prices, so there is a surcharge for that which is 20% of the combined transportation and labour cost.

Might have an old pair of rears on different wheels to put on for burnouts

finallymadeanaccount@lemmy.world · 29 pts · 51d

Little known fact, but bricks through the windscreen are the natural enemies of the burnout.

sundray@lemmus.org · 19 pts · 51d (2 replies)

Most folks into doing burnouts will gladly do one for you if you just ask, anywhere, any time.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a sideshow in the Main Concourse of Grand Central Station yet.
