Talkative Kookaburra @ Screen Owl Sanctuary

Blows my mind that these are a close relative of kingfishers, clearly the extrovert of the family group.

Taken with my xh2s and Tamron 150-500mm, fair bit of post processing to deal with the bars as best I can. I can normally punch through them with a long enough lens but these were pretty tightly spaced. :::

They are kingfishers. Not just closely related :)

Ah, I always get confused with familiar relationships with animals

Isn't saying talkative redundant with these birds? Lol

Really good shot. I think I may have asked you before, but what editing software do you use?

Thank you! Majority of my editing is with DXO Photolabs/NIK collection, as I prefer their noise reduction to Lightroom and I find the workflow to be a hell of a lot faster. This one has had a bit of additional post processing using AI removal to drop the bars. AI removal is still lacking in DXO, their masking is pretty much on par with Adobe now but not removal, I suspect that coming in the next major version.
