Since we're doing digital watches lately...
This Casio A159 is by far the cheapest of my (mostly mechanical watches) collection, both in construction and in price. It's plastic, has a folded links bracelet, has a digital movement unchanged since the late 80s but somehow, it brings me a lot of joy these days. Maybe it's the no-nonsense functionality. Maybe it's the beloved childhood aesthetics. I love it.

Absolutely love how much of this watch face is allocated to… telling you that it lights up. That must have been a really big deal, once upon a time. How charming!

Well, the EL backlight is kind of amazing and beautiful.

Love this watch. Was my daily but I recently upgraded to an a AE1200 because I wanted a countdown timer on my daily wear watch as well. I use timers all the time and it's super nice having it on my wrist. It's my new favorite watch.

people love schmancy 4-button electronics, but goddamnit there’s just something so lovely about 3-buttons. they’re utilitarian and quaint lol
