So they will drop these randomly? They will either blow the police budget buying a shit ton (of trailers) or they will have just a handful that are a pain to move around. Just keep smashing, a handful is kinda worthless in a largish city.

The police don't have a budget. They have a blank check.

"Oh, did we extrajudicially murder another citizen with extreme prejudice? Guess it's time to raise taxes on the people we murder again."

Whoa is that a free solar panel?

0ndead@infosec.pub · 34 pts · 12d

You paid for it with your taxes! It’s yours!

Ground level, too. It'd be awful if someone just so happened to lose control of their can of spray paint momentarily as they were walking by... ...maybe when they just set it down for a moment to tie their shoes.

randompasta@lemmy.today · 5 pts · 11d

Nah just take turns standing in front of it all day at dick level.

Good way to destroy without being caught? Walking up with a limp and a mask ?

schipelblorp@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 11d (6 replies)

Is gait something AI can identify you with? Because, honestly, when I was younger before I knew I needed glasses, I could identify people at a distance by how they walked.

Zizzy@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 2 pts · 11d (2 replies)

Afaik, its still psuedo science bullshit. They certainly claim they can, but the level of accuracy doesnt even manage to be dubious, more like straight up random guessing. Perhaps its improved a lot recently and im unaware of the advances? It still wouldnt stop them from claiming it either way and arresting someone, erroneous or not.

Yup. You could convict & execute a toothless person with bitemark evidence. Juries have been trained on years of CSI that Science is Infallible.

Here is a little reality check. Not only has gate analysis been around much longer than people think, they used it in the Iraq war (2 or 3 depending on if you count the Iraq-Iran war). But, people tended to walk in shadow 'cause shit's hot there. Meaning you couldn't see their gait from overhead.

So you know what they did? The did gait analysis on the shadows and missiled them from that data.

bridgeenjoyer@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 11d (1 reply)

Yep. I can kind of do the same if I know them well.

schipelblorp@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 11d

You know, instead of effecting a limp, just carrying an extra few unbalanced pounds somewhere on your body would probably be enough to throw it off.

Or, if you don´t ever wear high heels: wear high heels.

impairedimperator@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 11d

Yes-ish. It heavily depends on you wearing the same shoes and walking in similar conditions. Couple rocks in your shoe will throw off your gait

CubitOom@infosec.pub · 2 pts · 11d (2 replies)

Apparently, ear recognition also exists

bridgeenjoyer@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 11d (1 reply)

Got it, full fursuit

CubitOom@infosec.pub · 3 pts · 11d

I think those would be easy to track. You want to get the most common Amazon over ear headphones
