I don’t remember his actual title. He’s certified by whatever regulatory organization and our company needed one because of the type of devices we sold.
But yea you basically described his role.
We did UL listed stuff and his role, by comparison, seemed like a notary public.
Reminds me of that time our product caught fire because of a damaged battery, and the suits bullied the in-house regulator for an hour until he officially recorded it as not using the word “fire”
Clevatess was a surprisingly good dark fantasy that is new. One season out, second one in the works.
Takes a couple episodes to break out of the generic fantasy route. Also doesn’t get dark dark… some of the recommendations are total mind fucks and should have disclaimers, jfc.
Long ago I learned in an economics class that business is all about exploitation of underprivileged populations. From indigenous people to slaves to poor citizens to “third-world” countries.
Corporations are running out of people to exploit globally, so the idea of infinite artificial labor is the holy grail of cost optimization.

Congratulations, you’ve discovered the nature of advertising.
A while back during the gluten-free craze my laundry detergent proudly had “gluten-free” on the packaging.
EDIT: I learned it’s possible for plant-based detergents to have contact with gluten, so for those with zero tolerance it can be a concern.
To be fair that looks like a shitty implementation of the bollards.
Time for a fever to burn out the infection.
I do this to strippers all the time, they hate it.
“We received a dowry of copper ingots, but it was of poor quality”
It’s shit like this which makes one need to be more patient with distrustful, older folks.
And less trusting of advertisements.
“Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says otherwise is selling something.”
If/when I need a new job I’ll just put “Linux daily driver” as my entire resume /s

I used 14 since 30 years (15x2) is a normal minimum duration of employment.
