I believe the Iranians are looking after that one.

Can someone take Palantir ?

Gonzako@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 9d (5 replies)

Palantir seems to be taking itself out

Please don't get my hopes up. Anything you can link ?

Gonzako@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 9d (3 replies)

Sadly just off the wall nothing too concrete. Just overall terrible staff retention and morale that's gonna make it fall off in the next decade.

I don't think we have a decade tbh.

I wonder if the Houthis are busy ?

boonhet@sopuli.xyz · 1 pts · 8d (1 reply)

They are, they're helping Iran by closing down the Bab al-Mandab strait I believe.

Shame. I guess I'm going to have to rely on telling my MP I'll vote them out if they dont boot Palantir. Because that has worked well so far 🙄

That one doesn't need a return visit from the drone fairy.

Is wildberries a brand name or was that a food warehouse?

Darkassassin07@lemmy.ca · 21 pts · 10d

Wildberries is the Russian equivalent to Amazon. A massive warehouse full of other companies products; especially lots of cardboard and lithium batteries.

/edit: they stock a surprisingly large amount of military type gear. Helmets, plate carriers, armour plates, weapon sights, drones, fiber optic spools (like the ones used for drones on the battlefield), various weapon system components, etc

So anyway…

Soo...did UA run out of refineries and is doing the second best branch of russian economy now?

boonhet@sopuli.xyz · 2 pts · 8d (1 reply)

I suspect that while it's nice to get a chokehold on one particular part of the industry to cripple a country, it's also good to diversify your targets so the enemy doesn't know what to expect next and can't concentrate anti-air defenses (which to be fair isn't even that effective against cheap drones anyway)

Also, shortages affect everyday people who could theoretically do something about their leadership.
