It’s an optimization problem.

There are a lot of factors that could go into what you or I end up calling happiness. We probably see things differently after all. Job (life) security, being wild and free, location, family, friends, money.. the list goes on. Optimize for what makes you happy.

Then what’s the point? Hardwired batteries require physical gates that prevent backflow; so how do these work during an outage?

Edit: Thinking on the problem.. is it only to allow for storage of locally generated solar, for use at off-peak hours? It seems odd too me that solar panels + battery, while staying connected to the main line, is economically feasible compared to central solar provided over the main.

But anyone participates by paying taxes. Let’s add “willingly” to your comment.

Then I can only guess this argument leads to everyone, who might even be swayed by a protest sign, quitting- and instead holding protest signs?

I think both are required. What’s your answer if not internal opposition?
