Brush: AP Shave Co. "Amber Smoke" - Silksmoke 26mm Synthetic
Razor: RazoRock Hawk V3
Blade: Schick Proline (8)
Lather: Barrister and Mann - Leviathan - Soap
Post Shave: Barrister and Mann - Leviathan - Aftershave
Post Shave: Oleo & Co. - Facial Toner - Toner
Fragrance: Barrister and Mann - Leviathan - EdT
Leviathan is a truly great scent.
I don't know if it's this razor or my technique, but I seem to have a hard time getting as close a shave with this razor than I do with some of my others. I suspect it's because of my technique, being relatively new to AC razors, but I always seem to get stubble earlier in the day than usual.
Aftershave: Barrister and Mann - Leviathan - Aftershave
2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
Great shave today with Leviathan and the Moarteen. The razor has a fresh Jnat edge on it that was a pleasure to use, and the Leviathan fragrance is one of my all time favorites.
Brush: Wolf Whiskers - "Gianmaria" w/Maggard 26mm Synthetic
Razor: Koraat 15/16 Full Hollow - Sub Exclusive 'Moarteen' (4)
Lather: Noble Otter - Logbook - Soap
Post Shave: Australian Private Reserve - Raconteur - Aftershave
Quick two passes. I had to head out the door which made for sort if a fun experiment. Taking my time on the 2nd pass gives 95% the results and takes less time than doing a 3rd pass.
A luxurious midday shave. The soap base by SV is great, and so is the scent. I really should use this combo more often. In unrelated news, I got myself another brush 😒, and this one is great.
As far as I see, it unites the handle shape of the Starry Night with the knot of the Yaqi Tea series (I have the Bingcha 'Iced Tea'). In my book, these are the best synthetic knots I know, and I also find the handle shape great. My Nebula has a fan shaped knot, which I didn't expect from the photos. Anyways, opinion after first use: possibly the best synthetic I own; smooth, soft bristles and a grippy handle; stupidly easy to lather up a soap. Would recommend. I'm not totally convinced by the transparent-greenish color of the handle, but I can live with that (I guess).
In the photo below you see the three brushes (background removed by chatGPT, who bothered me so so long with their spam mails that I thought I should saturate their servers...):
