This has definitely happened before, thus the employee having the tranquilizer gun and the training to use it. I also don't think the usage of one candle being the reason for the escalation of force.
They were so busy trying to come-up with something out-there enough to resemble "giving Florida-man ideas" that they never stopped to consider whether they should.

I have no idea what it smells like, but it's insanely expensive. So it either smells incredible or it's got great marketing.
