what is it with people on Lemmy treating Ukraine like it's this moral bellwether? They got invaded but they aren't angels - they have openly Nazi battalions and paradoxically (or perhaps not so paradoxically) are aligned with Israel. They're getting used by NATO to deny Russia access to a critical warm water port of Crimea and are getting wrecked for it. Just like the US would wreck (and has wrecked) anyone trying to deny access to Panama. Don't come here thinking you're going to get the same worshipful sympathy from me.

Do you recall a case when cybersecurity guy under a fake-looking slavic name got almost caught on arranging his rape of a minor in Las Vegas? And that he left no question asked to Israel? Being connected to it has perks for the worst people you can imagine, and they'd sure help it survive, for a little lack of regulation here or for an international spy network there, or just testing LLM weapons on muslims.
When some cheered Mossad on taking nazis to the court, we saw the building of Israel as everyone's secret genie. And I'm sure, this rep is what israeli nazis cherish. It gives them the power over the whole western world.
