It's not that easy. There aren't thousands of competing events where a lot of the world peacifully competes with one another in a peaceful manner. The world cup is far from ideal, but I feel it plays an important role.
Pedohitler and his friend are doing more for the demise of the football through corruption than anyone else, I for once am glad. Can't wait for this circus to crumble.
Yeah, uh, no. Football fans won't care. Look at how many went to the US for the world cup. Or Qatar for that matter. Now look up what the host country for 2034 is.
