President Donald Trump has long flirted with dispatching federal forces to polling sites as part of a broader and oftentimes martial emphasis on election security. Now, with the 2026 midterms just months away and Democrats looking increasingly likely to make major (perhaps even chamber-flipping) gains in November, party figures are starting to take Trump’s threats seriously. As blue state attorneys general coordinate with one another and Senate Democrats convene high-level strategy sessions, is the party ready to face the White House’s increasingly brazen electoral saber-rattling?

Rather than acknowledging the threat facing them, Democrats have been busy pledging allegiance to Israel, undermine true progressive voices within their party and hob-nobbing with corporate interests

The Democratic party elite would genuinely rather MAGA Republicans win elections than actual progressives

I don't think they will be ready. The aipac wing of the Dems would rather aipac repubs win than progressive candidates.

$5 says they're more concerned with socialist democrats than they are with MAGA interference.

An alternative to panicking for Democrats is to deal with two words mentioned nowhere in the article:
AIPAC and Israel
The omission, given the genocide, is rather conspicuous. And the Democrats' way to success is clear. That is, if they take a stand against genocide and foreign interference.

Wow, who could have seen it coming?

I’ll believe they have the capacity to fight their way out of a paper fucking bag when I see it, honestly.
I’m so goddamn tired of the two-party system. “Fascism” and “Captive Half-hearted Opposition” isn’t really a meaningful choice.

The democrat in my area supports datacenters while the republican says she's against them. Dems are way too braindead and out of touch.
