The lead actor is a huge fucking creep so, that’s an interesting choice.

Hire a creepy old fuck to play a creepy old fuck. No need to waste time ‘Method Acting’. Producers love this one neat trick!

Yes, it literally keeps him alive. Or maybe that's his cousin Sonic Ebenezer.

Ahh I get it now. So he was originally Ebenezer, then he got a species change and is now Scrooge McDuck. Kinda cool they're telling that story.
