His album Reborn got me through some tough times and reducing him to DJ in the article title downplays the effect he had on other musicians.
Wildly talented producer.
Sombr’s excellent 12 to 12 reeks of Kavinsky and I think of him every time I hear that song. So much so I had to check the production credits when I first heard it.
