How did Jagex handle pride this year?

I just got a job and have been thinking about getting a membership again to play UIM. But I remember the debacle last year and don’t want to give money to a company like that.

Have things gotten better? Google isn’t helping me.

Ugh fuck then then. No gay no pay.

Any suggestions for something similar? I was thinking really enjoying my UIM run.

2009scape is a free open source remake of 2009 era RuneScape. it has an online server and also supports singleplayer. i have had a lot of fun with it.

Closest thing is HighSpell but IIRC the developer has gone MIA.

Unfortunately there really isn't anything super close to OSRS to my knowledge. You could do a F2P run, at least then you're not paying.

I didn’t know either but there’s a RuneScape wiki which says they had pride evens in 2017 and then again 2022-2024. However:

“The 2025 Pride event was scrapped due to CEO Mod North deeming it "controversial in a way it didn't used to be".”

https://archive.ph/uZ3th Links to this article, which expands on the situation and somehow makes that blurb even worse

They promoted the gambling plugin which allows you dress in rainbow gear in wintertodt for less damage.
