Use it then return it in it's original packaging, it's big brain things

Honestly if you're returning a door stop for a refund after using it for a year, it's actually tragic and speaks volumes about student debt.

I have 100% been this poor.
FordBeeblebrox@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 22d
The price of everything from gas to eggs is going up faster than the Artemis rocket, a LOT of people have been or will soon be this poor.
dharmacurious@slrpnk.net · 2 pts · 22d
Yup. Honestly, I'm lucky in that I have been poor most of my life, and know how to get by. So many people do not, and it's going to be so incredibly painful for them.

You go in the woods, look for anything that resembles a wedge. There you go, you have your own stopper. No need for robbery.

But now I have to potty train my pet rock.
42firehawk@fedinsfw.app · 4 pts · 23d
How is it robbery if you net the conditions of a large corporation?
Daft_ish@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 22d
Those belong to the imps. Youre treacherous coveting of the woods treasure will get you cursed.
fyzzlefry@retrolemmy.com · 1 pts · 22d
Where are there woods anymore?
zr0@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 23d
Since when is it not cool to save money?
TransNeko@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 22d
you are assuming that the teacher/professor didn't buy it.
owl@infosec.pub · 19 pts · 23d
It also retains it's collector value. Just in case it becomes a collectors item. Who knows these days.

Came to say this. That beer wasn't going to pay for itself

For sale: brand new door stop in packaging, never used.
No low ballers, I know what I've got.
wuffah@lemmy.world · 27 pts · 23d
The traction might be hindered overall, but I donβt see the door closing.
Noodle07@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 23d
If it looks stupid but it works...
SpruceBringsteen@lemmy.world · 25 pts · 23d
Just use a spoon from the cafeteria like a civilized person would
Daft_ish@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 22 pts · 22d
Bruh, its a door stop. Its stopping the door. Mission accomplished.
Plus you preserve it for future collectors.
THE_GR8_MIKE@lemmy.world · 20 pts · 23d
Don't want to get it dirty, it might be worth something some day.
nexguy@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 23d
You have to get a packaged door stop protective sleeve. I have an affiliate link...
qualia@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 23d
Plus this keeps it returnable.
dorumon@lemmy.cafe · 17 pts · 23d
Seems like something I would do just to post a picture to my dumb friends on IRC.
Angryhumanoid@fedinsfw.app · 10 pts · 23d
Hey it works and it keeps it clean!
FireRetardant@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 23d
This could be to avoid scuffing the floor
victorz@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 23d
Rubber stop, tile floor. I imagine it's the stop that would get scuffed. π
LostCarcosan@lemmy.today · 5 pts · 23d
Rubber stop could totally leave marks on the floor
victorz@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 23d
Hold on, scuffing is not scraping. Never mind. π
gergolippai@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 23d

FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca · 4 pts · 22d
When I lived in a dorm, we used to hold doors open by attaching them with a coat hanger to the dresser
Daft_ish@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 3 pts · 22d
When I lived in a place with doors we would do what ever the fuck we want because life's short.
Tiral@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 22d
Why use more word when less do trick.
