Mac is based on the same exact thing as Linux, so good job hating a sibling of what you love... but then if you like Apple, you don't know what you're talking about anyways, so no surprises here!
macOS is a BSD derivative (which is, itself, just UNIX System V with a bunch of extensions installed-- long story there)-- linux - on the other hand - is reversed-engineered OS resembling UNIX-- in a way , they're related, but, at best, they're cousins... and macOS (originally NeXTSTEP, developed in the mid-80s by NeXT, Inc, and later bought by Apple) came years earlier.
actually the story of all of this is super-interesting. and you're... quite wrong-- I've been studying the history of this for decades, and you're talkIng out of your butt, lol

I like linux, but macOS does pretty much everything that linux does and also runs commercial software like Adobe, etc. For a lot of people, it just makes sense.
With less incentive to build PCs (for lack of generational gaps), full stack OSes like Mac, and Harmony are the future! Mac is also certified UNIX and derived from BSD which is far superior to Linux in areas of security, efficiency, load handling, cohesiveness, documentation, the license is freer, and the community is much better.

I get shit for this take sometimes, but I agree.
