The fact that MAGA has been so quiet about legal slavery is a clear indication that they intend to exploit it at some point. I suspect they'll use prison slave labor to replace deported farm workers, and incarcerate thousands of lefty protesters to fill the need.

Legal slavery is regularly used; especially on farms. For instance, Taylor Farms (the company with the lettuce making everyone sick) uses forced labor :/
There's nothing for MAGA to change in that regard. That system is already running.

They can make it much larger and weaponize it. Right now it's a fraction of our labor force, but what if it was 20% or more? What if they operated primarily as a way of punishing and torturing political opposition? They could punish a good portion of the country, and use it to scare the rest into submission.
There's a LOT they could do to make it worse. Forced Labor under the 13th Amendment needs to be repealed.
