Rhetorical Triangle

Make sure you're appealing to your audience correctly. Typically people lean too far into one (Ethos, Pathos, Logos)

Easiest example is not overloading what you're saying with the (logos) subject matter / details when your audience is not detail oriented.

Another is the classic "trust me bro" when the audience doesn't know or trust the speaker. Invert that you have cult leaders whose audience trusts them absolutely.

Third example is someone who overloads emotional appeals to the point that the actual message is lost, misunderstood, or disregarded entirely.

Quigon was one of the few "prophecy" enthusiasts. The closest to his disposition was arguably his former master, Dooku.

Obiwan trained Anakin because it's what Quigon wanted. And nobody could tell him otherwise because he was the first jedi to face a sith in millenia. Even YODA had never fought a sith lord at that point.

So ya even tho Obiwan's emotional attachment to quigon was clearly what drove him to defy the council if need be, there wasn't much they could do because Obiwan was galactically viral at the time.

Luke can use dark and light side force abilities. What makes him different from other similarly capable users like Darth Tyranus or Yoda is that he didn't use the force to create a power structure. Everyone else, including Obiwan, was using the force to perpetuate an empire, a jedi temple, a senate, some sort of artificial construct that in would inevitably lead to imbalance in the force.

Luke trained Jedi with the goal of protecting life in general.

Ah yes the classic, "pro gamer move."

To turn left onto my local stroadway it's often faster to go straight, make a u-turn and a right turn because the left turns are advance green only. The main green is 5x longer so inevitably a bunch of people are just stopped with no cars going through the intersection.

Couldn't we just have warning messages?

like parental content warnings? lol

"If you experience symptoms of nausea, moral outrage, or sudden aneurism during this programming, please locate the MUTE button on your infrared remote than immediately dial 9-1-1 on your rotary or cordless phone. Listener digression is advised."

Unfortunately, the subset of Americans who actually understand what's at stake still seems to be smaller than we'd like.

Sorry to put it this way, but as an outsider looking in... I don't think you even get it; and you're clearly an informed, smart person. I'm sorry this is going to probably come off as insulting despite my desire for it not to be.

For instance you bring up Mamdani like he's just one of many potential candidates on the sideline and not literally the only candidate since Bernie & AOC. That's alarming to me considering how long it takes for someone to achieve national name recognition.

"Rudderless" is exactly the word I would use to describe the movement currently.

Meanwhile as someone raised conservative I think you're significantly overestimating how far the MAGA pendulum is going to swing.

...

I'm not trying to be a pessimist but I do think progressives are being placated with casual optimism. The clock for America is running out. I genuinely think 2028 will be the last "United States" federal election, regardless of the outcome.

AOC could very well win the 2028 presidency, but I guarantee there will not be a peaceful transfer of power.

Here's hoping these mid term elections shift things for the better.

Again sorry for being rude to you.

That comment is 100% correct while also contributing absolutely nothing of value.

I agree with you in principle but until you can outgrow your .ML conditioning it's very pointless to engage you.

Have fun jerking yourself off tho.
