Damn, you just know that poor guy is going to get detained by ICE several more times in the future. Those clowns are going to keep mistaking him for the other guy, time and time again.

Someone's getting fired over this.

Not for the "mistake", but for actually admitting it....

There was no mistake.

Man, ice mistakenly deported to Guatemala, is being returned to main.

Without the commas, the title is a little confusing.

Drusas@fedia.io · 7 pts · 27d (4 replies)

The commas you added are grammatically incorrect and make the title harder to read.

Okay than whats the proper commas?

I'm pretty sure mine are correct. Because the commas go between a full statement to indicate a tangent.

For instance. Man is returned to main. He also happens to have been mistakenly deported.

There are two statements there but one is split by the other.

Another way to write it that doesn't require commas. "A man who was mistakenly deported by ice is now returned to Main."

So you say I'm wrong but can't provide the supposedly correct way.

Don't write a check you can't cash.

We're not all glued to social media. Chill.

The correct way is the original way.

daannii@lemmy.world · -1 pts · 25d

No, it's definitely not .

Considering that fact that you used the incorrect "Maine" hurts my soul

Typo. Apologies
