Maybe one day we can move past this idea that dads/husbands are always incompetent. 🤷‍♂️

I read this as another person who knows the parent in the last panel well letting the kids go wild playing make-believe and playing along. Then the parent in the last panel is teasing them for getting so into it themself during the three days the kids were with them.

There wasn't even alone (as in "I left the kids alone with you…") that would imply that they normally take care of the kids together.

My first thought was grandparent or auntie/uncle.

I'm a dad and I relate.

Why is she smiling in the end? She should be pissed.

She absolutely saw this coming before she left

Why would she be? Seems fun

Because it's impressive the dad made all these costumes and decorations with the kids in just 3 days.

Nah, the kids are alright. She knows it's better they do this than drugs or other trouble.

Clearly because Alison Brie appreciates a bit of mischief.

Reminds me of the kids-only settlement in Fallout 3

Reminds me of that South Park episode.

From the before time. The long, long ago. We had adults but we made the disappear using the M word.
