I saw this film when I was 8. some of those scenes are still etched in my memory. I told another kid at the church I attended at the time about it and lent him the vhs, only to find out that he later showed a part of the film during a service and he was kicked from the church and I never saw him again. an obscure crazy florida story for everyone. :)

A bit slow for today's audiances, but still a good watch. Too bad that I don't think a revolt can be done this way because of modern tech, but still useful to witness bold community deffence and the way the state would respond.

One sad aspect for today's audiances to bear witness to is finding that the tale of the US murdering black people with impunity is a tale as old as the US itself, and not a mere modern development.

resist the oppression around you and/or help those who resist, unless that endangers yours, or others, life or lives.

fuck capitalism/patriarchy/transphobia/bigotry/colonialism

This was both dark and quite comedic. The deaths were creative and slow paced at first, but then the tone switches from mystery horror to a faster paced comedic game to stay positive while in very negative situations. I enjoyed it!

I like this idea, and would enter! I have posted a few times in c/artshare, so if you want to see some of my art, check my profile.

I meet all the requirements and could use a new tablet since mine is kind of not working right, but I can't really afford much at this time. Also, I feel like it would motivate me to make some new art since I have been on kind of a slump lately.
