Even professionals will do silly things like take pose shots with cardboard swords or armor or whatever

I like how the texture of the paper matches the texture of the object.

Seconding what another commenter said about references being the standard for professional artists. I use sites like pixabay, pexels, and unsplash for royalty-free images. Ideally, if you use other peoples' photos like that, you combine elements from different photos to make it your own. Or take your own photos/models/create still lives, as you've done here.
