So, the EU Digital ID is threatening to kill alt Android and Linux phones, but this is also probably gonna screw over desktops too, because going by how it's laid out by Mental Outlaw here, desktops could start being required to run Win11 with Pluton enforcement to comply with this, which would not only lock out Linux and BSD desktops, but also older desktops in general which can't run Win11, and even older desktops which can run Win11 but are too old to support Pluton, meaning just like you have to buy a new Google or Apple phone to comply with this, you'd also have to buy a new Win11 desktop or laptop as well.

the epstein files proves that it's coordinated and it's happening because narratives like the gaza genocide and life in china are going more viral than the mainstream media; so they're working at making sure that there are too few people accessing it to keep future crimes against humanity from going viral again and the man-o-sphere's existence proves that it will work.

I do not underestimate mcmuricas slimy influence, it looks like you underestimate politicians desire to be re-elected in the eu, and elsewhere.
Guillotines will be making a comeback soon enough, obviously not in the usa though, where it is more important to cheer for your political team, than it is to remove a pedophile from power.

The eu is not going to force people to use windows, if they tried, that would be the effective end of the eu.
Some fascist countries within, and outside of the eu, whose rubbish politicians are owned by the usa, and israel, might consider it though.

This is a hijacking: True — the reader is damaged by restricted access, but it is also true that the author is damaged.
You post something that you intend to be read by the general public. You don't control access; the place where you post it does. After age gating mandates, that place will assume the worst — that your content is adult content.
There are three age tiers: adult, young adult, and infants. After age gating mandates, many of your readers in the general public won't comply by stipulating their ages. The worst-case assumption is that they're all infants.
When age gating breaks down, there's a mismatch between default age rating of authors' content with default age rating of readers. Content that is adult by default won't reach readers who are infants by default. Much of your content will go unread by much of the general public. One assumes this is age gating's intentional design — to restrict access to your content.

No. Hardware IDs come from your device. They didn't care about the path your data takes. VPNs just made you look like you're somewhere else.

I think your response is only half right. To the extent the service you wish to access enforces location based rules, in some cases appearing to access from a different location where those rules do not apply, you may benefit.
But for services that are EU specific where ostensibly 100% enforcement of compliance exists, then it doesn't matter where you appear to come from.
Trivial services like Facebook--you might be able to login from another venue. Important things like your bank, the tax authority, your healthcare, insurance and so forth will be largely domestic and therefore no benefit to VPN'ing.
