Legendary: How can I survive without pooping for 3 days?

This happened when I first go to Lemmy and I watched it expand. The original was deleted which is sad, and I wish Lemmy archived the deleted posts. This screenshot is a capture of the original post from an instance that no longer exists.

If you find a copy of the original comments, please post as well, it was a fun ride.

NOTE: @DocMcStuffin posted the archived links- https://sh.itjust.works/post/64874947/26837550

Edit 3: I accidentally found the original, original having accidentally deleted the link to the repost. This is me being as shitty as this post. Sorry about that everyone: https://sh.itjust.works/post/371192

Also, the post was made June 23, 2023. Great tip in the body to hover over the years and it will give the exact date. I might add that to the rules for future posts to add it if you can.

I do still wonder what the reason for this whole endeavor was

If I remember correctly, he was even more vague in the comments. I think he regretted asking the question, lol. It was really funny though, and in a weird way sort of innocent.

It might just be a weird light OCD thing but I find it hard to shit in places where I know it gets dumped, untreated, into the sea. And I usually try holding it in instead. I'd just feel icky knowing I'm complicit. I wonder if it was something similar with OP. The description could fit.

You're gonna love finding out the truth about all the various waste substances that humans produce, "treat", and flush into the surrounding areas, then. πŸ˜…πŸ˜Άβ€πŸŒ«οΈ

Poop-shy

fahfahfahfah@lemmy.billiam.net · 5 pts · 22d (1 reply)

My first thought is some kind of BDSM sex thing

wyldrstallyns@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 21d

Not pooping for 3 days and camping + hiking the duration? No BDSM that I've heard of, but πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

Didn't want to clean out before anal sex?

SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml · 1 pts · 21d

Hmm, didn't occur to me, but I can definitely see it having been for a weird sex thing

Is there a good Lemmy client that shows the absolute date of posts instead of relative dates?

For these "Best of" posts, it would be nice to see when exactly the original was posted, instead of "3 years ago". In particular, if people end up reposting somewhere else, the relative times lose their meaning (like when someone posts a 10 year-old screenshot of a Tweet with a timestamp of "17 hours ago").

Martineski@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 4 pts · 22d

Summit client adds an optional bottom watermark(?) bar thingie with the absolute date of the of the screenshot which isn't quite that but still better than nothing.

It would be nice, but I haven't seen anything like that. Hopefully someone else has some input.

I just looked through all the settings in Voyager to see if there's a toggle, but nope. πŸ™

Thanks for checking. Maybe there are some paid for clients or piefed that could check for people.

Hover your mouse over the '3 years ago' and it'll pop up.

pelespirit@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 21d

Holy shit, that's awesome. I don't know why I never noticed this.

Ask and ye shall receive

Part 1: I need to survive for 3 days without pooping, and eating as little as possible. I can pee, but not very often. It can't take up too much space. What food do I pack?

Part 2: [ANSWERED] How long does it take your body to process and excrete gummy worms, and how to make it faster? [URGENT AND SERIOUS RESPONSE REQUIRED]

Part 3: What's the easiest way to cure severe constipation?

Dude, I want to best of lemmy you, but I think it's too much within a best of lemmy post. This is awesome.

No way it's been three years already! I remember reading this post from an alt account I had in Lemmy.ml

I survive without pooping for 3 days all the time.

I really need more fiber in my diet. Celery and beans are somehow not enough.

blarghly@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 21d (3 replies)

Sugar free orange metamucil

Kolanaki@pawb.social · 1 pts · 21d (2 replies)

It does work really well, I just don't like having to pound an entire glass of it before eating a meal (if you drink it too slow the whole thing turns to gel).

blarghly@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 21d (1 reply)

Fair enough. I like gulping it down, so it works well for me.

The answer is "hold it in."

This is great, and the easiest answer is to just water fast for three days before and keep fasting during. I've done week long fasts before, it's kind of gross at first but after the first few days you get into keto and get energy back as you start to burn fat stores for energy
