Google removing the search button on their homepage is another step towards trying to turn the internet back into TV

I see it in the USA.

I quit Google search and I wouldn't normally type a search on the google.com homepage anyway.

A lot of buttons, but no search in US.

It still does a basic search if I just hit enter. I search from the address bar, so no idea how long it's been this way.

Uh, the search button is still there on their homepage? Maybe it's a test in specific countries?

Looks like it only applies to Android phones and only the Google app search page (who uses that?) and though it looks like an AI button it (also?) returns search results.
