Wait, are Ulysses and Odysseus the same Guy? Can’t believe I never made the connection that those two are different spellings of the same name…

Ulysses is the Latin adaptation of the name. There's also a Roman variation of the Odyssey called Aeneid that tells the story of the fleeing Trojans after the sacking of Troy led by Aeneas (who shows up in Iliad for a bit) and how they ended up in Italy.
