This is good. I am specifically thinking about getting a Fairphone 6 as my next device, simply because of the fact that I can run post-market OS on it, and they seem to be doing a very good job getting it supported properly.

I think it's only a matter of time until we are going to need to ditch Android entirely because of them pulling stupid shit. When that day comes, we will need an alternative, and it's looking more and more like post-market OS is the answer.

Immutable postmarketOS (project name: Duranium) is an image-based variant of postmarketOS that provides atomic A/B updates with automatic rollback on boot failure. The system uses a read-only /usr partition verified by dm-verity, ensuring the operating system files remain unmodified.
