... [McConnell] hasn't made a Senate vote since before [June 14], but a Senate Agriculture Committee meeting earlier this month did include a vote by proxy. The chair said he had spoken to McConnell about the farm bill and tried to vote on his behalf. It didn't count.

It's not super comforting knowing that politicians can become brain dead and their day-to-day functioning in government doesn't change at all.
