I remember daily driving Gentoo unstable in the early 2000's on my rig in college. It was like trying to beat a Dark Souls boss every time I wanted to do an update.
Their car was nearly totaled. It's possible there were parts of the deer somewhere, but my wife, police, and tow truck driver weren't able to find any.
My parents hit a deer at 40mph with their Forester and it turned into pink mist. The only "mass" left of it was just a head. I have no doubt the CT is not as safe as regular vehicles, but I don't think the outcome of object getting hit by something at 75mph is going to be an indicator of safety.
I don't care about hibernate, sleep, or fast startup. The main issue I experience is that when I click shutdown the computer does not ever go into a sleep/off state. It looks like it's trying to shutdown, but ends up staying at the lock screen and I have to hold the power button down to kill the power. It's been a fairly consistent issue I've had across three machines over at least 6 years. I only have the issue on my work machine now because I addressed it on my machines by installing Linux.
Either I'm confused or perhaps you are. Bernie Sanders, while he happily had my vote a while back, is far past the need to retire. Hunter isn't running for politics, and El-Sayed is behind in the polls. How are any of these people supposed to help?
He has set the precedent that presidents and their families can not only continue to run businesses while in office, but make governing decisions that lead to profit for those businesses. Oh, and getting payments for advertisements from the Resolute desk, and putting up paid advertisements on government property. Oh, and punish federal funding to states, companies, Universities, etc. for not following his executive orders, which are not laws, but are being treated as such.
The only way to remedy this, I figure, is to have a democrat in office do every. single. thing. he is doing in office, until each thing has a law created by the other branches of government to make it illegal going forward.
I guess I'm going to die beating this dead horse, but Flock cameras are just regular video security cameras and feed back to a cloud AI platform. If you go to their homepage right this minute you will see that not one single example of their camera views shows a license plate read, but several do show the platform identifying people instead.
EDIT: I think I am giving the wrong impression. These are domestic surveillance tools and it's my belief these should be considered unconstitutional. I'm merely stating that these are not ONLY license plate readers (LPR's), they are full cameras.

Wouldn't companies also be able to do it on any WiFi device, like a phone or a smart watch?

He has been convicted. He is a convicted felon. He was also found liable in court for raping a woman.
Yes. These can read license plates and identify people. They are mass surveillance devices and store their data in a massive centralized system.
