[MCCFAMA #2] Sol & Terra

Despite overwhelmingly negative feedback on the first issue of MCCFAMA, here's issue #2. If I get the same backlash then I'll abandon this format.

The sun and moon being cubes would indicate the same being true for other celestial bodies.

I do remember when moon phases got added and Jeb_ tried to demo a round sun and moon. A little internet drama and a snapshot later it was back to square.

I may be wrong on this but i think Jeb_ later pointed out slime and snowballs to counter the "NO CIRCLES" hate.

firstly there are no 'celestial bodies'. there is no space. everything up in the sky is just pictures that illuminate the world underneath - this is provably true and conforms to the multiple spotlight model'. One could follow the sun at breakneck speeds, but it would not affect the length of day in any way. This means that each minecraft person has their own individual sun/moon-spotlight that follows them.

observably you can never reach the edge of the world cube. the world is a seemingly endless flat plane.

You're wrong, it's an optical illusion.

Ah, I see your mistake! This is fun hole, you're looking for sun hole. Easily confused, don't feel too embarrassed.

Does it also move with infinite speed? What would Einstein think of this?
